– The Sixers wouldn’t have planned to be without both Starc and Hazlewood. As a result, their bowling stocks are very low.

– Given the lack of available players, the only selection dilemma is over whether to pick Ed Cowan or young bowling all-rounder Ben Dwarshuis. If the selectors go with Cowan, expect Henriques and Smith to do a lot of bowling.

International: Brad Haddin, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith

Injured: Trent Copeland

All-rounders: Ben Dwarshuis

– Of the six current test representatives, Starc is the most likely to take some part in this BBL. If Harris is fit for the 3rd test, Starc could be released from the Australian squad.

– Lyon might not feature in the ODI’s so he’s a likely inclusion for the Sixers in round 8.

– Dwayne Smith will be unavailable from round 5 onwards. A replacement overseas player is yet to be named.

Bye: Round 4

Double: Round 2

Sixers players should be good to start with. Early double round and an extra round to get rid of them before the bye.
